Misleading internet ads
The G700 flashlight is made in China and distributed here by many different companies, and it is indeed a great value for under 10 dollars, especially when you use rechargeable batteries. However, some internet ads present a person illuminating the side of a building or a country road at night. While the item is definitely sufficient to light up your basement or possibly find your keys on the ground at night, it isn't an ultra powerful search light.
A good buy, but don't expect to be amazed.
