Good reproduction
I closely compared this to my 45 year old original and it is precisely the same. The hardware includes a nut for the bolt, not a flat piece of metal like original, but other than that it is a exact copy as far as I can tell. you wont be disappointed.

Perfectly awesome modern hatchet.
From the steel used, to the bevel on the blade, the super well built case/sheath, I love it. This is full tang, made of one piece of metal. The handle is great, rubbery, good for all conditions. Why Baton your knife? This is practically made for it! Whether you are arborist, or need a new camping tool, this thing is the ticket. The weight is very well distributed, making it easier to use than most more traditional hatchets and I dare say more effective. Any camping, or wood gathering trip I go on, this will be with me. Class A act from Japan and came plenty fast. This BTW was the cheapest I could find one.

Excellent for the money.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Good quality tools stamped stainless from Pakistan. Everything you should need for a field repair on yourself or others. I'd throw a couple sutures in there and some thread, maybe some pain killers and more antiseptic, but for $20?! Who can complain. The case is of good quality with tight snaps and elastic straps. If you spend time away from society with a pack and have some knowledge of basic medical care, this should absolutely be in your pack.
This would be good for many things, just buy one, great seller too!
