Peter Jackson at his best.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Better than expected depicting, but not dwelling on, the horrors of the trench warfare during the 1st World War in a way that did not detract from the realities. The transition from the black & white to colour is a masterstroke bringing it closer to the modern day. The last few minutes summed this up perfectly. Another triumph for Peter Jackson.

BLU RAY!
Excellent film on DVD, even better on Blu Ray. Well worth buying for the improved picture quality.
