Great recordings from forgotten Romanian great artists
A very beautiful selection of recordings of two great Romanian artists - the conductor George Georgescu and the pianist Valentin Gheorgiu. Georgescu was an world class conductor of the 20th century, in the tradition of the great German conductors form the first half of the 20th century. He is easily comparable with Abendroth or Furtwangler. Valentin Gheorghiu belongs to the golden epoque of Romanian pianists that includes Dinu Lipatti and Clara Haskil. The music is superbly played - this double CD is a must have.

Legendary Mozart opera singers from the past.
Excellent collection of older recordings of Mozart opera arias. Some of the legendary opera singers from the first half of the XX century are featured in these recordings. This is not about the quality of the sound (these are pre-WWII recordings) but about the immense artistic value of the interpretation and playing. These recordings are unique, and sadly non-repeatable in our modern times.
