I wish I got this type (in the picture to above left).
In stead, I was sent the stick, rigid, completely inflexible, type. Very high quality indeed, and it does the job well. Problem is that cable management with the flexible one (in this image) is MUCH better than the type I got (black sockets and rigid wires held together with a wire mesh). Oh, well, I am still very satisfied with what I got. John.

I like this drive
However, even though it seems quite good, it's too early to judge. Longevity in a notebook environment is crucial to drive evaluation, since the quarters are cramped and ventilation difficult. Yeah, it gets warm, but far from hot. Very quiet and fast considering that it only has 32MB cash (compared to 64 and on up on desktop drives). Haven't run large databases such as my orchestral sample libraries, so I don't really know how fast it is when it comes to larger amounts of data fetched by a fast quad processor such as the one in my notebook. In all, I am very satisfied with this drive, but, as I said, only the future will tell of its real endurance. I have been using mainly Seagate drives; they've never failed on me. John.

Not what I've expected, considering the title.
A huge amount of items are from one composer. Though this is a jazz book and the composer is a renowned musician, the volume is not unlike other fake books whose pages are filled with minor works. This volume should have been a third smaller and, likewise, less expensive. J.
