From a crocheter for many years
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have used Aunt Lydia's crochet thread for many years. The colors are excellent thread and easy to use. However, the Victory Red is really bad for dye bleeding so never, never use that color when mixing it with white or any other lighter colors. I have to rewind it from the cardboard onto something else and wash it in soap and water to use or if it's a solid piece I have crocheted in red, then wash it before blocking it out.
The white thread, and just the white, (made in China or some other country) frequently is so full of sizing stiffener cannot use at all. I have had to return many economy size balls back to Jo Ann Fabrics or sent samples to Coats and Clark, parent company of Aunt Lydia's, and complain. The turn around and send me more complimentary balls that are just as bad. Isn't that a joke. Fifty percent of the time I can use the economy size balls as the quality is pretty good.
