Neil from the beginning
9 von 9 finden das hilfreich I've read some other reviews about Neil's self titled release saying that it was like an artist trying to find his musical way. Well I have to tell you I don't quite understand what that means, Neil definitely seemed like he had a way with this now 4 decades old release. In fact, the formula seems clear to me, take one part rock, one part country and one part folk lyrics, mix for a while and voila out comes a unique, trademark sound that has made him relevant in rock music for 45+ years now. Although I don't think that this is anywhere near his best work, it was a great start for a young artist, and did give the listener a glimpse of what to expect outta him.

Great cd!
5 von 5 finden das hilfreich This band has an excellent sound. These are UK rockers and they pack a punch, great aggressive guitar playing but also melodic at the same time. This is just great sounding modern rock similar to the band Funeral For A Friend, so if you like them you'll love these guys.

disappointing to say the least
5 von 5 finden das hilfreich 2 of the tracks are Rick Wakeman penned Yes songs, and neither of them would I consider to be the bands best music, the rest of the songs are okay but if a progressive rock fan would have been asked to come up with a setlist for this compilation cd I'd bet ya none of these songs would make the cut. No Rush, No Tiles, No Moody Blues, what gives with this? If I were you I would only buy this for a cheap price and only to acquire a few songs that you may not already own. Other than that suggestion I'd stay away from this cd if your just a casual music listener.
