A Backyard Bird Book that works!
This copy was a gift for a friend. My copy I've had awhile and find it the most comprehensive, easy-to-use, practical guide for people who are hobbyists and find "yard" birds fascinating. The author offers not only the usual suggestions for feeding birds, but many ways to recycle human food into bird eats. She describes and defines many aspects of bird behavior. What's nice is the info is in alpha order, whether bird names, critter names, or all types of food. I can't even guess how many times I've pulled my book off the shelf to check on a question or idea. HIGHLY recommend for its practicality and usefulness. A great gift for retired folks who feed birds at home.

Good book for Bonsai beginners
Bonsai can be a bit intimidating for beginners. This book makes it easy and clear to understand. Now I've mustered up the courage to GO on some of my plants! Hooray!
