An average book in an amazing series.
Eric, an awkward teenaged demonologist, attempts to summon a demon with the hopes that it will grant him three wishes – immortality, wealth and a hot babe. Unfortunately for Eric, instead of conjuring a demon he inadvertently winds up with Rincewind, a clumsy wizard who has been stuck in the dungeon dimension with his loyal luggage. Refusing to believe that Rincewind is not a demon, Eric, Rincewind and the luggage embark on an epic adventure, taking them from the creation of the universe to the pits of hell. I'm a huge Pratchett fan. However, this one was just average for me. The humor was not as subtle or as clever as in many of his other books. If you haven’t read any Discworld books, I would not recommend this one as your introduction to this amazing series.
