As described and a good read
Have only read about 2 thirds so far and this book does give a good insight into the 'military' horrors of the war in ireland. I wasn't aware of the arsenal of weapons in the possession of the Republicand especially the stunning array of arms suppliers and the depth of home made technology developed over 25 years by them.
However Tony Geraghty was a mamber of the britis Army and does give a kind of slant that an English man would in favour of the Colonial power in Ireland. Whilst he acknowledges the capability of the Irish opponent some factual oversights do let him down a bit e.g the UVF was not the military wing of the UDA.
However a worthwhile reading experience overall !
