great movie and music
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich This movie has been panned by some critics, but this is totally unwarranted. It's a unique take on vampire lore. The actors are very good, the special effects are top notch, and the soundtrack is stunning, especially the hard rock which plays an integral part of the plot. This thing rocks HARD. A centerpiece of the plot is that vampires are destined to be alone for eternity, a dismal state of affairs, and yet love brings two of them together for eternity; yes, it's a beautiful love story too. This is a great movie in every respect. If you like vampire movies this is a MUST HAVE.

beautiful melodies abound
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is Jeff Beck at his most melodic in many years. A lot of this album has a symphony orchestra accompanying Jeff...and it really REALLY works like you wouldn't believe! Jeff eschews rapid fire jazz licks for gorgeous haunting melodies throughout this album, and yet there's some really heavy rock here too that throbs and sizzles, also with deliberate melodic structure that just takes you away. I swear, the music is so moving that tears came to my eyes several times. Once again Jeff Beck has proven that he's the most consistently brilliant guitarist alive.

it does all the thinking for you
This tiny and inexpensive device is incredible. It does all the thinking for you. Just feed it a DVD or CD and it determines what region it's from (of the 10 regions in the world, both PAL and NTSC), and converts it to your region and your television, and starts the disk. There are no menus you have to click your way through to operate it. The clarity of the picture and sound is great. This device is a must have.
