The Admiral - Roaring Currents
Having Korean In-laws, I am very much interested in Korean History. On my honeymoon many many years ago, I visited the shrine and museum for the turtle ship and Admiral Yi. I always wanted to see the movie, however, it would not play in a theater near me. Thanks to Ebay, I was able to purchase a copy of the film. I was not disappointed. Yes, just like any historical movie, there are movie moments placed in the story.
The movie is very good. It has won many awards in Korea. It is subtitled in English or there is a version that just speaks English rather than Korean. There is a lot of action and a drama that will keep your attention.
I would highly recommend this movie to anyone interested in Korean History or to anyone wanting to see a Naval war between two countries many years ago.
