Excellent plastic injection replacement fuselage builds into accurate Yak-9
Leave it to Vector! They seem to make the best resin replacement parts around, and now they are making plastic injection replacement parts that are just as good. This replacement fuselage features the original forward-positioned cockpit of the Yak-9 & -9D, and replaces the Modelsvit Yak-9DD kit parts which have the later aftward-positioned cockpit. This replacement fuselage for the Modelsvit is just as nicely detailed as the original kit part, with similar interior moldings including the tail wheel bay. Don't be fooled by the picture which makes it look like the sprue gates are huge, they aren't really. They are wide, but very thin, and are easily removed from the fuselage halves. I have to admit that I've actually purchased two of these, so I can build a pair of accurate early Yak-9s in 1/48.
