Saving a puppy mill cavalier and the horror of puppy mills.
Saving Gracie addresses the difficulties and joys of blending a puppy mill rescue into a family. Additionally, the book tells how a once respected dog breeder transformed into a hoarder and owner of breeding facilities which were horrific and details the subsequent raid on the facility. The book was published over 10 years ago but has interesting information on policing breeders, failures in dog organizations and follows changes in laws to protect dogs.
