DELL RULES!

Thermal Protection Switch
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Unit performed for 2 months no problem! Then it would just turn itself off and not turn on again for an hour.
Inspected the unit, blowing out dust and running the unit once again, it turned itself off once more. The unit was not over heating and the fan functioned okay. This is having the Thermostat set on high and the Heat on High!
The unit power light is on, but does not function.
Solution: Had to cut the metal screen off the top to get the unit apart. Found the Thermal switch copper contact to be of cheap copper material. It also has a Thermistor located before the copper contact. I cut the copper contact out of the circuit, leaving the thermistor in place. The Thermo Switch is under a plastic cover, that extends over the heating coils.
The unit functions once again and is not turning itself off.
If you cut the metal screen off in the center, you can use 4 metal tabs and 8 metal screws to put it back in place. May look like crap, but the unit will function.
Please make sure you have the unit unplugged and have electrical experience if you break into this unit. I use heat shrink tubing to insulate the exposed wiring, not to cover the Thermistor.
Once again this unit is heating my room and not turning itself off.
Also noted: The thermostat switch next to the Heat setting switch is of poor quality.

Everything about this is CHEAP!
Everything about it cheap! Description does not tell you no cheap battery is included for the multimeter. The included black handle screwdriver is unusable. It is like buying a mystery box and getting unusable junk. Don't waste your money, like I did.
