Good book, it's just was not what I was looking for. I need to continue my search on the Internet. It was a hardbound book printed during the mid-60's. Each state had a map which was filled with economic symbols associated with the areas within each state (i.e. oil producing areas were designated with a litte derrick, Iron mining areas had a a little pick and shovel with an "I" emblazoned over it, agricultural areas would have a little ear of corn, a tiny stalk of wheat or oats, etc.

Romulous Augustus Caesar comes to life!
Delightful historical fiction. Some truths (such as the last Roman emperor's name: Romulous Augustus Ceasar and his age, 13 yrs. old, the barbarian usurper, Oedecar, and Romulous's exile to the coast, all left me breathless...finally, a movie with at least a thread of historical accuracy.) It's not surprising that THE LAST LEGION was not a Hollywood production, because they would not have even left this morsel of real history intact. Having said that, the rest of the movie was fiction, but it was presented in such a charming way that even diehard historical purists could take a break from reality and revel in the fantasy.
