The Language of Baklava is another word for yummy
I was first introduced to Diana Abu-Jaber's work through her moving and wonderful novel, "Crescent". The Language of Baklava is very moving and echoes the experience of fellow immigrants to America and the love of our native cuisines as well as the need to integrate these into a new country. This is my second copy of Diana's wonderful memoir. I lent my first copy to a friend and never got it back, they liked it so much. I love the recipes she incorporated and have made nearly every one of the them. I would recommend this book for the recipes as much as the story and her marvelous storytelling ability.
