Crank It Up! A Happy Camper...
Love the price/performance ratio on this little beauty. I am definitely not an audiophile (yet), but to me, it gives pure, unadulterated clarity to all instruments and cranks up the sound way beyond my expectations with no distortion or drop outs. Easy to install and use; comes with a clearly written startup manual. Just plug the well-built DAC into a computer's USB port (recommended, but I cheated and plugged it into a powered hub), and then plug in your speakers and headphones to the DAC and you're ready to roll. I use it with a late 2012 Mac Mini, old H-K Soundsticks and MassDropxSennheiser 6xx headphones (equivalent to 650s). (Had to buy a cheap RCA plug Y adapter for the single speakers jack, and you'll also need a cheap 1/8" to 1/4" jack adapter for the headphones if needed.)There's a convenient button to alternate between the speakers and headphones as you desire. A very affordable way to get the most quality sound out of your headphones and computer speakers while you use your computer. Couldn't be happier with the entire experience.
