Air Body Hacksaw Cut Off Saw Cutting Metal Tool Pneumatic Reciprocating 6 Blades

    Sprechen sie deutsch?
This is a really top-quality item, well made, it feels solid and durable and the non-slip rubber casing on the handgrip is a welcome safety feature. A nice tool at a very reasonable price, particularly when the provision of the saw blades and allen keys that are provided too are taken into account. My only gripe is that whilst some of the early and rather self-evident instructions, about checking the correct components are included in the package, are in English on p.3 (and French on p.4), the operating instructions themselves, the technical data, tool exploded diagrams and the captions on those diagrams in the accompanying leaflet on the next 9 pages, are only printed in German. Whilst you can probably work out how to operate the tool and change blades etc. and there's a phone helpline (at overseas call rates) provided by the manufacturer, Deuba, missing English language instructions is an omission for something sold on the UK market. Though most of us will know what 'Achtung' means, an air-saw is, potentially at least, a dangerous tool if its not operated correctly so it'd be handy to have those instructions! So in conclusion, a well-made and thoughtfully designed air tool, let down a little by instructions that don't take account of where its being sold.
Varilight 2-Gang 13A Double Pole Switched Plug Socket + 2 5V DC 2100mA USB Charg

    Switched on USB
This is a good quality product, and is particularly suitable for bedside use because it means that you can two mobile devices on USB leads overnight, without having your chargers hogging all of the sockets or needing to use ugly multiple plug bars to plug everything in. The USB charge is fine and works OK with my iPhone and iPad with no problems. The only current downside is the price as its currently more than twice the price of the same socket without the USB charger. But that seems likely to fall over time as these sockets become more mainstream and there's more competition between suppliers.

Bit like Beckham - great in its day but that was a while ago
Probably great in its day but rather outdated now. I'd purchased it as a motorcycle sat nav because its weather-proof and that's certainly a useful feature. It certainly feels robust though quite big and bulky and comes with a relativly small LCD screen. It takes six AA batteries to power the 16 colour graphics and it seems to use it batteries quite quickly. The game has moved on quite significantly in recent years as far as satalite navigation is concerned so maybe its a bit unfair to compare this particular set with more recent offerings from Garmin, Tom Tom and Navman etc. It feels quite crude by comparison and there's lots of buttons to press, the menue system is not as intuitive as more recent touch-screen models and it feels generally oriented towards the US rather than the UK market. The set-up and navigation software is also optimised for earlier versions of Windows so its showing its age now in quite a variety of different ways. To offset that, there's comprehensive documentation to accompany the hardware but who wants to have to read a long manual with electronic equipment these days? In summary, it was probably at the cutting edge in its time but that was quite a while ago. In terms of the technology and user-friendliness, its from a different era and light years behind the more recent stuff.
