Bf 109 Aces of N Africa / MTO
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich From the moment i received this book I just couldn't put it down for a moment.
Not only is it an excellent read full of great illustrations, it also brings to everyones knowledge the thoughts and feelings of the pilots and the men who fought on both sides of the MTO during those dark years between 1940 to 1943.
Being a Maltese, aviation in the MTO is a subject that is very close to home. Most of the pilots and the aircraft depicted battled over Malta in the otherwise serene and warm skies that we enjoy all year round.
The author has made an excellent, enjoyable and thoroughly readable account of the ups and downs of the Mebf109 in this crucial theatre.
I recommend this book to all aviation enthusiasts, followers of epic historical encounters and the aircraft modeller alike.

Matchbox Do28D-2 Skyservant
An old tooling with potential from Matchbox and now marketed also under the Revell kit brand. I had been meaning to build another one of these for a number of years. I improvised some of the interior by adding scratch built parts and added aerials etc to the exterior. Choosing the earlier kit livery with the orange rudder and wing tips I set about completing the kit in about a month, with good results. I utilised Alclad, Humbrol and Vallejo Air paints to complete the task. Would recommend without hesitation
