Just the job
We needed a catch to stop the kitchen door being blown shut by the wind and did not want a floor stop that you could trip over. This high-up catch fitted the bill perfectly

Cheap solution to a ridiculous problem.
It’s a cheap way of keeping the Gendarmes off of your back whilst in France.
Their law say that you must carry two in case you use one. But if you use one, you no longer have two, so you are in default.
In reality, to stay within the law, you should carry three in case you do use one! It’s ridiculous.
