MTH Semi-scale Passenger Cars
This MTH set is not “scale,” but really works well on a layout with tighter radii. I am using 031 Real Trax from MTH, so these negotiate those curves more realistically than the scale cars that I have running on another loop of the same track. Less overhang.
Since Mike at MTH is retiring, cars in this size may be going away as the other manufacturers are dealing more in the true scale of 18” cars.

Creative reconfiguration
Hard to find certain parts for Marx trains, so finding a bracket that could be modified was very helpful. The original bracket was much smaller, but this one was big enough for me to cut it down and reshape for the crane spotlight bracket.
