Unique historic perspective
The whole adds up to much more than the sum of the parts. What could have been a simple list of 'Boy's Own' derring-do yarns is suffused with the author's passion for an aspect of British character. The subjects themselves rarely sought the lives they lived, but a certain spirit led them to affect great changes in the worlds in which each found themselves. The achievements were of their time, but we can hope that their nobility of spirit somehow survives in us.

Does a good job
Our cat's had this type of collar for 5 years now with no apparent problems. Being a fairly outdoor cat, it helps that it's waterproof. We put the drops on as well in summer flea season and, touch wood, they haven't been a major problem.

Functional and sturdy
A single channel audio amplifier. I have so far tried it with a 3W rms 8ohm speaker, powered by a nominal 6v phone charger, sounds fine.
