No anti-siphon or vacuum break features. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR...
but could not find locally.
I disassembled this unit prior to installation:
a. to determine if it was sturdy enough to last 30+ years
as the installation locations are difficult to access.
b. to determine if stem seal/packing and valve washer were
commonly available at any hardware store.
The unit meets all my requirements.

Comes in a cool-looking jet-black plastic package.
It's a tri-state transceiver with symmetrical 24mA drive and 3.5nS delay @ 5 Volts.
And it's easier to see & work with on a breadboard than any SMT device.

Discount Inkjets and LD Products are one and the same.
Most of the printers we support use the HP56/57/58 cartridges.
A few printers use HP21/22.
These comments apply to all of these cartridge types.
A year ago we had good yield from LD Products cartridges.
We have now given up DI / LDP.
Our current stock of their product has less than a 50%
chance of working right out of the packaging.
Problems include short life, clogged jets, corroded/pitted electrical
contacts, all of which make them more trouble than they are worth...
at ANY price. Sadly, we have yet to find an excellent supplier for
the seemingly dwindling supply of refurbish-able cartridges.
