Lews Tournament MB reels
I own 4 of the Tournament MB reel models. I used to own a lot of shimano reels and have since sold all those and just buy lews products. These reels cast effortlessly. No need to take the side plates off to adjust spool breaks and possibly loose break collars like shimano. Just turn the dial. Very easy to maintain as well. Just clean the outside really well and worm gear to remove gunk (add a little bit of grease and some oil back to worm gear after cleaning). Take out the screw and small plate on the bottom add a little grease to the drive gear and and occasional put a dab of oil on the 2 spool bearings. They basically run just like new. The drag is solid on these reels as well. If your a person that likes to tighten the drag all the way down just back it off after using it, mainly if it's going to sit during winter months because it will mash the drag washers. I haven't had an issue with any of mine. A few of my buddies have quantum reels that basically need to replace washers and fix the drags routinely, but those are quantum's. I own a lews custom, BB1 pro, BB2 pro, and a tournament pro magnesium as well.
