Good lower cost alternative to JDM leather shift surround
This shift surround is the lowest cost alternative for a leather red-stitched shift surround in the 2015-18 WRX. The stock plastic shift surround is easily removed from the center console. Once out of the car, this leather wrap is easy to test fit on the surround, then attach to it using 3M spray adhesive. Excess material can then be trimmed away with heavy scissors to clear the clips and shifter boot trim. I had no prior experience with this kind of stuff, but was done start to finish in less than an hour. The seller was prompt at replying with advice on how to complete the install.
The quality of the materials and workmanship on the shift surround are very good. I have previously ordered the red-stitched leather e-brake handle cover from this seller and I am very satisfied with both pieces and the upgrade in appearance they bring to the WRX interior.

Fits the '15-'16 WRX as well
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich After studying parts diagrams and photos I was pretty sure the ebrake boot in the '15 and '16 WRX was the same as the earlier years this boot said it fit, and this was confirmed when it arrived. It is very high quality thick leather, the red stitching is the same pattern and color as the other leather interior trim bits in my '16 WRX, and it is relatively easy to remove the cheap vinyl boot that comes stock with this higher quality replacement. I am very pleased with the appearance upgrade, as the stock boot just didn't match the rest of the interior. My only regret is that I didn't get a matching shift boot as well.

great looks and function
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich OEM for the win on this one. High quality aluminum skidplate that fits perfectly in existing holes in frame, no drilling required. However, you will find it hard to turn the bolts unless you clean out the hole with a M10 x 1.25 tap and die set. The holes are open at the top and get filed with oily grime that will make it very difficult to insert the bolts all the way. A quick run with the tap and it cleans the threads right out and makes it easy to twist the supplied bolts in by hand before torquing them down. I found out about this on a 4Runner forum and it definitely makes the install a LOT easier,
