If you don't expect miracles, a netbook does the trick.
It isn't an iPad, but it does exactly what was expected -- emails, web browsing. I doubled the memory, bought an Amazon drive/burner so I could install an anti-virus program, got rid of the stuff that Amanda trashed but didn't empty from the Trash, got rid of about a dozen viruses that Amanda got from online games, figured out how to adjust the fonts so that I didn't need magnifying glasses to read my emails, and on balace am delighted with it. Nothing very fancy, but it does the trick.

Time will tell
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich We have numerous drives, both internal and external. The LaCie quad drives are relatively expensive and very heavy, but they seem to be more reeliable than the smaller USB3 drives. After we bought thiem for a project that requires routine shipping and return of the drives, I found that LaCie is now owned by Seagate. We have had numerous Seagate failures; time will tell if the LaCies start failing. So far, so good.

Somewhat better than advertised
The numbers on my old keyboard wore off, so I bought this one. It came in original box with instruction sheet, which actually helped, since it is a somewhat newer model, and works just as well as the old one.
