IMS Filter Assembly for Syphon
My first impression of the filter if very positive. I does not seal quite as well as the competing Chinese filter assembly but also does not trap as much coffee between the filter and the upper syphon vessel wall. This allows a more complete vacuum extraction.
The filter with its upper stem is easier to install than the Chinese filter assembly. The build qualty is very solid. The IMS filter appears to be a more robust design and should last longer. Both filters work great. The Chinese filter is quite a bit cheaper so may be the better choice but the IMS filter should not wear out. No sediment with ether filter. They work better than my glass rod filters.
