Works, but needs improvement

Blows cold air. But the sponge diminishes the power of the outflow as I perceive it to be holding back the power of the fan. I cut out the middle of the sponge - leaving just an outer circle of sponge, now I feel the power of the fan. Even though Fan on high is too loud & on low is too low It blows cold...
