Electronics, with a distinct lean to Amateur Radio
Compared to the fourth edition this one is very disappointing. It is not in a logical order: starting at the beginning is a good idea! and it has errors. However if you want to learn electronics there are few books to help: I recommend the 4th or even the third, but if you cant get them this will help. So many books that cover "vintage" electronics are hopeless. The 5th edition has more solid-state and less valves: as one would expect. Second-hand it is relatively inexpensive.

There isnt much to say about an atalas: its what is says it is and replaces the old out of date one.
