Comet! by Graham M. Simons
I'm a fan of vintage 1950s aircraft, so naturally this title attracted my attention.
The book is well-illustrated (mostly black-and-white) with a number of photos I've not seen before, in spite of the fact that I have at least another half-dozen or so books on the subject of the deHavilland DH-106 Comet jet airliner. The material on the Comet crashes in 1954 and the resulting tests of the airframe is very substantial and contains substantial quotes from the actual testimony on the subject.
There's plenty of material on the various airlines which owned and operated Comets, mostly of the Mark 4 variety since there were only perhaps 20 - 25 Marks 1, 2, and 3.
I would strongly recommend the purchase of this book to other "fans" of the DH-106 Comet jetliner!

Miller is a superb writer on the subject of ocean liners, and the written material and photos of the ships are excellent.
