Juki F600 Sewing Machine - Solid Well-designed Work-horse
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich The Juki F600 is my first computerized sewing machine. It is a delight to have certain common sewing operations that happen automatically, and in a predictable way. There are still many features of this machine that I have not tried out, so cannot comment on them here. It is a used machine and there are imperfections that do not appear to stand on the way of its being a dependable machine.

Aftermarket Bernina Foot Control Pedal for Model 830 Record
I bought a used Bernina 830 Record Sewing machine via Craig's List and found that the original Bernina foot control pedal was no longer able to reliably control the speed of the machine. This is a known problem with that model and a few other older mechanical sewing machines. They were made with a ceramic component that contains carbon disks arranged in a stack that, when compressed by foot pressure, become increasingly conductive. The carbon disks are fragile and they break down and have been known to be the cause of fires. This replacement control pedal uses electronic components and is a very reliable and adequate replacement. These old mechanical sewing machines seem to be nearly indestructible, but OEM foot controls in good condition are very rare and are no longer made. Don't hesitate to use one of these aftermarket electronic controls. You will get years of use out of an old, but good quality machine.
