Great new generation of connectors
These connectors are a real game changer. They're repositionable, reusable, and ideal for permanent connectors as well as for a temporary repair. You can even gang connectors together which makes for a much cleaner setup. Just keep in mind that they're not waterproof.

Good aftermarket air filter for KLR650

Costs more than pool noodle insulation but well worth it
Costs more than pool-noodle air conditioning line insulation but well worth it. Real rubber insulation, with not one but two adhesive methods to seal the tube...the main adhesive tape plus a flap with adhesive to seal the original opening.
