Another after market part, less than hoped for.
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich All looked fine and the friction ball measured correctly, 17mm, with a Harbor Freight plastic caliper. 😀
However, this is a friction dependent ball and socket fit to hold the GPS screen firmly in the desired position.
The ball circumference is slightly out of tolerance resulting in the screen dropping face down to the lowest possible position.
I made several wraps with 1/2” Teflon tape in an attempt to make the fit more snug. There was improvement until experiencing a rough area of pavement at highway speed. Back to face down. My next attempt to snug the fit was several wraps(3-4), using plastic food wrap film. This provided a tighter fit and seems to hold the unit in place regardless of the pavement condition.
My concern is, the the receiver opening for the ball may be permanently made slightly larger and adversely effect my vent mount option.
Expected better from Garmin!

This is our third order for Maldon Sea Salt Flakes, second in the 3.3 # tub. That should say it all!
