Great UPS with basic apcupsd support
Just install a new pair of batteries and it will work fine.
This model's firmware can be upgraded up to version 7.1, so it will not support the modbus mode in apcupsd.
It is recognized fine by usb mode with the a usb cable though, giving some basic information, but most importantly powering off the system when battery level reaches a certain (configurable) level.
Only tried it on a GNU Linux system with apcupsd, but I suppose it works perfectly on a MS Windows system as well.
