Thought provoking reading
Louise Erdrich is not a "happy ever after" novelist. She pulls you right into real family triumphs and tragedies. She's quite sly with her humor. Her story lines are intertwined from one novel to the next, but can be stand alone stories also.
Her former husband Michael Dorris has similar style, but not as interesting. The book they wrote together doesn't compare to their individual work.
Books that an be reread with pleasure.

Finally, a large clock with a large face, not a tiny face inside of a too ornate surround. Very easy to read.
