Open a can and have a good laugh!
I like clever and well constructed comedy, but sometimes you just want an honest to goodness good uncomplicated laugh, and this gives this to you in spadefuls!
O yes! Pen behind the ear, I loved it, wordplay I loved it!
Will be keeping this one for wehen I just want a good guffaw.

Ham and sex in sultry Spain
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this film as I had seen it some years ago on TV, and had been impressed by it then. I personally enjoy Spanish film, and as a tentative Spanish speaker, I find Spanish films help me to practice listening to and understanding spoken Spanish in a relaxed way.
The film itself is a wonderfully convoluted tale of passion, jealousy and possessiveness played out in a dusty corner of Spain. The film dates from 1992, and features Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz in impressive early performances. Bardem is notable for showing that smouldering sexual allure that makes him so watchable - or perhaps that's just me.
A well constructed story, with great cinematography and characters, that twists, turns and entertains, and ultimately leads to a satisfyingly dramatic ending.
I enjoyed the film itself so much, that I have not, as yet, got around to watching the extras, I'm not a great fan of tacked-on bits as disc filler, but I would recommend this film to anyone who likes their drama human, real and dirty.
No one is quite who you first thought they were in this film, they show the caprices and confusion that we are all subject to. It will make you think, which is never a bad thing in a film.
