12MM MANIFOLD INSULATOR KIT FOR HOLDEN COMMODORE VZ VE ALLOYTEC LY7 LE0 3.6L V6
    28. Aug 2022
Top quality from MACE as usual.
Brilliant yet basic mod. Easy to install, and with a notable result before/after tuning/dyno. The intake manifold is much cooler now over longer drives. Leaving the engine shroud off amplifies this obviously. Very high quality kit as you'd expect from MACE.
24 Levels Damper Adjustable Coilover for Holden VE Commodore Ute, Sedan,Wagon
    28. Aug 2022
    Unsafe in a word.
These coilovers are a very poor quality. When compared to the OEM strut/coil supplied with the FE2 option these coilovers cannot physically reach the basic ride height as they are approximately 15-20cm shorter when compared from the top of each strut and only considering the useable length, when measured from the mounting eyelets where they tie onto the brakes. The kits do not supply the strut top mount, bearing kit, nor washers - indeed it does not even supply the 2nd mounting nut for these items when installed, you only get 1 nylon thread nut per strut. The OEM nut it too big - you need a 14mm fine thread nut similar to the OEM nut, good luck finding one of those, let alone two. To that end, you only get about 3-4 threads poking out of the top hat in the engine bay when you've put it all together and installed it. That's not enough to adequately fasten it. The sway links also do not marry up to spec either, so you'll spend a bit of time fiddling with this. At best you'll get 30mm of thread onto the bottom of the coilover - think about that, 3cm when you're cornering hard is the only thing keeping this together. Have a look for pics of collapsed coilovers and you'll see what I'm referring to... I set up both front coilovers identically, but to my infuriation, when I installed the driver side strut there were only 2 threads poking out of the top hat. I couldn't even get the nut onto it. This is a defect in manufacturing. If you chip some of the coating off the spring you'll see how shoddy they are, be warned - especially if you like to corner hard. Lads, you are better off buying something else - save your 400 bucks, they are cheap for a reason. You won't get a decent set for under 1500 bucks. More importantly, from the safety aspect, the fall woefully short of the mark - on that basis first and foremost is why I would never recommend these cheap coilovers to anyone. For an old paddock basher they're fine, but for something you're putting on the road you just don't want the hassle. I'm not a PC safety nerd - but I stress to you the implications to your safety and anyone travelling with you if you install these coilovers, that's why I'm writing this review, they are not fit for sale and are certainly not roadworthy.
