Take me out to the ballgame
William Peterson in a comedy role, Teller actually speaks, and Virginia Madsen just as lovely as ever. I saw this years ago on HBO (several times of course) and remembered it as a precursor to Bull Durham with a little better plot. Since then I can't recall seeing Peterson in role as light as this one. I think that it should be included with 4 or 5 other films as a primer for the baseball season. Especially in those towns that have minor league franchises available. It might remind them just how hard the players work to get to the majors and that some of the most competitve games are there.

A Ghostly Detective Story
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich How could you miss Virginia Madsen at her smokiest in the 80's? Add Tommy Lee Jones and a decent script and you get a minor hit. Okay, so the script is very weak but hey if you don't mind seeing Miss Madsen butt nekkid, its worth a look see. All in all a C effort.
