The weight of this, despite its small size, makes it a uniquely effective trigger point/fascial release tool. Great product!

Great soft tissue release device
The Grid X Roller is a wonderful trigger point release tool. The foam is denser than the orange foam roller they make, and it is especially effective in releasing large muscle groups like the paraspinals, glutes, and quadriceps. You can roll back and forth to do a cross-fiber massage on the muscle, move the roller longitudinally for a stripping massage, or just let your bodyweight sink into the roller to provide pressure to release specific trigger points (the variable surface areas each have a slightly different effect on the muscles and fascia). Very versatile and durable. A great product!
