Perfectly fine
I bought this as an extension of a bee box I already have which is full, the new female bees are using most the holes, small and the larger bamboo ones, others have said the small holes are too small but they are fine. One thing I did do is make the holes deeper/longer with a drill as Mason bees lay several eggs in the holes each separated in their own cell.
Very pleased.
