Garcia/Grisman: Need We Say More!
Another Great Recording in Garcia's Exploration of All Music Americana!!! The Team that goes back to the 1975 New-Grass record "Old & In The Way" is a quieter mix than the Dead or JGB...but the musicianship is just as awesome! Released in 1991 on Grisman's own label, "Acoustic Disc" they would team up for one more release before Garcia's untimely death in 1995, the 1993 release "Not For Kids Only". One highlight of "Garcia/Grisman" not usually mentioned is the melancholy "Two Soldiers" an American Civil War-era song about battlefield loss and the effect on the loved ones at home. Garcia's voice cracks slightly giving it a poignancy of the time that brings a tear to the eye...
