UNIVERSAL THERMOCOUPLE 900MM

Perfect For Glow-worm Boilers or Similar.

No one can predict how long a thermocouple will last and therefore I always ensure I have a spare one next to the boiler. This is prudent even if you are unable to actually remove and replace one yourself as no doubt the vast majority of heating engineers charge way over the odds for a new one so you can just stick your one under his/hers nose and save a few quid. That therefore is the benefit of ebay vendors such as this who charge almost a trade price for a quality item and send it quickly and securely. This thermocouple is particularly good however as its pack contains fitting options (via supplied parts) that lesser one's don't. For example, the one that is currently fitted to my boiler came with just that small clip (bottom right of the photo) and not a brass sleeve and securing bolt which I much prefer. Those are included here. Fitting one just via the clip relies on gravity and so the business end can tend to be too near or too far from the pilot whereas that brass bolt secures it dead centre. Quick tip. If you do replace one yourself, remember not to over-tighten the nut at the other end where it meets the electrical connector on the gas valve housing.
