At least they kept the original title.
If you liked the book, you would hate the film. Almost the entire story was rewritten and only occasionally did the film bear any relationship to the book. The music(?) was very poor. A lot of the film was shot in the dark, so it was hard to see what was happening. It was a hard storyline to follow and most of it did not make any sense.
Why did I purchase the film? Because I liked the book, now I feel let down and would advise others to avoid the film.

What I think of this book.
Very long and dragged out, not as good as his other book "The Red Coffin". Unlikely that I will read any other books that he writes.

G.I. Samurai Time Slip
Having watched "Timeslip" dubbed in German and not understanding a word of it, also there seemed to be parts missing,so it is good to get this version and be able to understand the dialog and see the complete film. The story line is a bit far fetched, but then most sci fi films are. The special effects of the time slip sequence were weak. I have been led to belive that the archers of that period were excellent, but out of dozens of arrows only one hits an arm and the rest land in the sand. In real life the horses would have scattered at the sound of a helicopter. But on the whole is is a good film with plenty of action.
