Last United States Chess Champion
Excellent book covering Bobby Fischer's victory over Boris Spassky in 1972. Gligoric covers the games with wonderful grandmaster insight while also discussing behind the scene machinations. The games are exciting and intense. A literal smorgasbord of openings were engaged by the contestants, which wsa a refreshing departure from past and recent World Championship matches. True, there were blunders, but the diverse set of openings utilized by the players sets the 1972 match apart from all others. Highly recommended for the chess afficionado.

'Animals' by Pink Floyd very high quality recording
I needed a replacement for my favorite album by Pink Floyd 'Animals' and this one is terrific. Its the same recording, but I guess the term is 'digitally enhanced' and cleaned up. Really sounds great. Item came in a cardboard sleeve which I transferred to an extra plastic case I had on hand. But the sleeve looked perfectly secure anyways. Also, for this quality, the price was excellent, I think around $17 or so. Highly recommended vendor

Flying Forts by Martin Caidin
Outstanding book that covers the history of the B-17 from conception through the chaotic air battles over Germany. The book is so well written that one sees the indescribable air battles fought long ago, feels the throb of the Wright-cyclone engines, smells the smoke, hears the roar of battle and senses all those non-descript things that we take for granted. Caidin devotes a significant portion of the book to the pre-war development of the B-17. This is important and is only appreciated as one finishes the book. If you are looking for a book that satisfies all the known-human senses with regards to WWII air battles and literally welcomes you onboard a B-17 for a mission, or two, this is the book.
