Finishes room off nicely
Very good value product compared to other brands.
Close up you can see that it is polystyrene & if you chip it (like I did) it will reveal the "bobbles" but a smidge of caulk and couple of coats of paint & you can't tell the difference.
I fixed the rose with coving glue & it kept falling down (hence the chip) so I put the light fitting back up to keep it stuck then ran some caulk around the rim to ceiling. As the rose centre is quite deep & obscures visibility, it was difficult to locate the original screw holes for the light fitting. To get around this I put 2 holes in the rose, used some wooden bbq sqewers to wedge into the original ceiling screw holes & guided the rose into position so the holes aligned, then screwed the light fitting bracket in (with longer screws this time to allow for the deeper drop) - do not overscrew or you might pop the bracket through the rose. It was a bit of a faff but ceiling lights normally are.
I had put coving up and this rose goes nicely with it just finishes the room off, it is worth the effort and looks really nice now. Just another 2 to go.

More than happy
Broke my S5, the screen went black but I could hear e-mails chime & other notifications so guessed it was the screen.
Visit to the high street saw quotes ranging from £95 (independent) to £169 (large chain) to fix. Looked at trading it in to the value of £15. I decided to research how to do it on line and then bought the replacement.
Following the video it took about 30 minutes to heat and remove the screen, the screen connector was easy to unplug but the home button nearly yanked off and the connection got a little strained. Also there were lots of broken silver shards as the glass came away from the silver LCD. Tried my best to clean out the silver shards from the existing glue and it was very fiddly to get the board connected back up. Tested with the battery and was excited to see the screen come into life.
The home button was easier to align and the display has glue around it so you don't have to buy that separately. Aligned the display and heated the edges to make the glue stick. Popped the screws back in, battery & back back in and it is like new (although home button wobbles a little which is probably my fault on dismantling).
So glad I didn't write it off or pay over the odds for a repair or cash it in for little value. I would give it 5 stars but it is day 1 and I am not sure of longevity also the screen isn't as vibrant as it was but it was better than expected so here is 4 stars.
