Worked great in my Thinkpad R400, no issues at all. Slid old one out that was randomly ejecting, inserted new one from Prime Electronics. Auto detected, playing & burning media with no issues. Respectable S&H rate for such an item.

Worked great - inserted into the express...
Worked great - inserted into the express card slot of my ThinkPad W500 running Win10, which was autodetected as a Ricoh 1394 OHCI compliant host controller (which the drivers worked fine). Connected an external Firewire 800 drive, seamless access - ran the SMART and physical full media scan on the external drive. Which was the whole reason I purchased this controller - get access to and test the external Firewire drives I have collected over the years with the faster throughput.
