A breath of new life to my UX31E ultrabook
Co-worker gave me a UX31E ultrabook and said he thought it was a bad backlight on the LCD. Having thought about it, all the video and power come from the mainboard. using a stupid bright flashlight quickly revealed that there was no picture to the monitor and I figured it was the board that was bad. So I replaced the mainboard and returned a dead system back to life.
Works faster (i5 w/8GB ram) than my desktop does (w/an i7 hex-core and 16GB Ram at that), go figure...
Very pleased with the restoration!
