Required studio reference
I can't say enough about this book. Bought it because illustrator Tom Lovell worked under Reed and Lovell's work is amazing. Now I see why. I have many books on anatomy but Reed's book is by far the best. More than just dry technique, it's whip-smart construction and creative illustrative license built on strong traditional knowledge of the figure. Both a master artist and an excellent teacher. I feel lucky to have found this book.

Worth having in your collection
Felt like I was reading through a real diary. The printing is amazing - the artwork inside looks like it was all done in pencil and feels very real. Loved the inside journey of a young teenage boy. Author nailed it. Resonates emotionally in the end
