Older Book...but history doesn't change.
I found Beverly Rae Kimes somewhat difficult to read. Her writing style is a bit too poetic for my tastes. The 1955 and later sections are by a different author and flow much better. This book is lavishly illustrated. The images are less vibrant than today's digital pictures, but were high quality for the era of it's printing. Very similar to photography in Automobile Quarterly issues of the 80s. The illustrations also don't always align with the narrative... so as your reading Chevrolet history of a particular year, you may need to flip forward or back several pages to view illustrations of what is being referenced. The level of detail to the chronology will satisfy most Chevrolet fans. As popular as the Chevrolet brand is today, it's fascinating to read of it's unlikely origin and how it almost didn't survive it's first decade. Since this book was published in 1987, that's where the story ends. But for my interests, that was completely satisfying.

Mind Stretching
Never have I spent so much time contemplating each and every photograph in a book. Saudek's images are dark, disturbing, graphic, bizarre, erotic, and to some even obscene. If you've found your way this far then you'll probably enjoy this collection.

Outstanding detail and fit
This is the third Moebius model kit I have bought and I have found them to be consistently superior to other kits on the market. The parts are logically grouped and clearly labeled to match the instructions. Parts fit together precisely with minimal flashing to clean. Test fit all parts before gluing as some locations on the instructions are ambiguous. This kit has some extra parts, presumably for other variations. So don't be alarmed when you can't find a location for a specific part. Moebius seems to have finally figured out a way to make realistic tires that actually fit well on the rims. I hope Moebius expands their 1/25 vehicle selections.
